Educational goals and objectives of nursing education programs: Topic modeling

Purpose: This study aimed to understand the keywords and major topics of educational goals objectives nursing institutions in South Korea.Methods: From May 10 20, 2022, all 201 Korea were collected. Using NetMiner program, degree centrality, semantic structure, topic modeling analyzed.Results: The top structures included ‘respect for human (life)-spirit-science-based on, global-competency-professional nurse-nursing personnel-training, professional-science-knowledge-skills, patients-therapeutic care-relationship.’ goals’ clients well-being based on science respect life, a practicing nurse with capabilities spirit, fostering personnel creativity professionalism, training global nurses. ‘holistic care-nursing-research-action-capability, critical thinking-health-problem solving-capability, efficiency-communication-collaboration-capability.’ objectives’ ‘nursing communication problem-solving capability; change healthcare environments progress practices; professional nurses clients’ health practice.’Conclusion: Educational presented specific values concepts, such as therapeutic care relationships, promotion well-being. competencies defined by Korean Accreditation Board Nursing Education (KABONE). Recently, KABONE announced new program outcomes competencies, which will require revision goals. To achieve those objectives, it is suggested that expected level be clearly graduates.
